Scot Silzer:

Scot Andrew Silzer has been in private practice focusing on immigration and employment law for over 20 years. He works directly with employers, businesses and individuals to plan strategies to meet both their immigration and business objectives. He also counsels educational institutions, businesses and non-profits to ensure compliance with immigration regulations in recruiting and retaining international employees.

Mr. Silzer is one of only a small number of attorneys who are board certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law. Board certification recognizes an attorney’s special knowledge, skills and proficiency in a specific area of the law as well as professionalism and ethics in practice.   In addition to immigration law, Mr. Silzer has extensive experience in labor and employment arbitrations, human resource issues, and advising universities and private businesses on complex cases. He is a  former General Counsel for the University of Central Florida and Metropolitan State University of Denver. He also served as  Counsel, Human Resources, Office of the Board of Regents of the State University System of Florida.
